The Life-Giving Consequences of Creative Rest

$11.11
sold out

"the life-giving consequences of creative rest" is a personal essay on reckoning with what happens to creative practice when choosing slowness and softness. After noticing how my life, work and relationships have changed since taking a breath amid grief and turmoil, this essay captures a glimpse of what it feels like to resist systems of exhaustion while centering care.

No refunds. Slight imperfections may exist.
Orders close on Monday, April 3 and all shipping (US only) via USPS will happen on Tuesday, April 4th.

This is a special limited edition, signed by Yours Truly. Intentional touches include:

  • 22 Interior pages that carry a burst of yellow light at the center to remind us of our radiance through decay and transformation.

  • “What if” prompts with open space for your responses.

  • A personal note written to you on the closing pages

  • Riso printing by Sense of Press, an independent publishing & risograph printing studio based out of Baltimore, one of the places I call home.

My patreon community will receive this as a gratitude offering, along with:

  • Early access to a companion Spotify playlist that embodies the essay’s feelings and sensations.

  • An audio version of me reading the essay.

You can receive these gratitude offerings throughout the year and join a community of folks supporting my creative labor and creative rest on Patreon.
